Disney on Ice Treasure Trove – Enjoy the Most Magical Experience Yet!

When in Manila, it was a great trip to memory lane when I went to Disney on Ice Treasure Trove. I remember how, when I was just a kid, all I ever wanted to do was to put the VHS tape of my all-time favorite Disney movie “The Little Mermaid” on repeat all day everyday. I also remember how I would sing along with Ariel whenever she sang the song “Part of Your World.” Oh, how I miss being a kid!

I always want to catch Disney on Ice whenever the production is on here in Manila; but with the schedule that I have, it seemed impossible for me to do so. This year, however, I filed vacation leaves at work to spend my holiday with friends and relatives. Aside from all of the drinking sessions and parties that I went to, though, I believe that my experience with Disney on Ice Treasure Trove was the most exceptional one! It was a magical night with my favorite cartoon characters!

While I was watching the show, I couldn’t help but sing along with all of the music! I was clapping whenever they asked the audience to do so, too. I always imagined Disney on Ice to be super magical and it didn’t disappoint me at all! It’s nice seeing the cartoon characters that you just watch on TV when you were a kid come to life singing, dancing and figure skating like there was no tomorrow!

My top three personal favorites when I was watching the show was Lion King, Little Mermaid and Aladdin. They gave me this illusion that I was also a cast in their production with their great props and costumes that helped make the whole show the wonder that it was!

For “The Lion King”, I was especially amazed by their costumes! It was really like they were in the wild! The costumes looked just like the cartoon Simba and Nala in “I Just Can’t Wait to be King”.

They also showed this amazing part with the Wildebeest when Mufasa was saving Simba from the stampede that was so creative, it was hard not to get sucked into the happenings on ice.

With the true-to-life costumes and props that they had, I really felt the sadness that Simba felt losing his father.

Other great songs from “The Lion King” that you can look forward to include:

Timon and Pumbaa’s “Hakuna Matata”

Simba and Nala’s “Can You Feel the Love Tonight?”

The ice skaters who played Simba and Nala were superb and I was at the edge of my seats as they performed their lover’s duet together. They also showed the part when Simba and Nala got married and how all the animals were there to witness their love on pride rock. Now I know why Simba couldn’t wait to be king!
