Dapitan Tiangge Christmas Decors: Make Your Christmas Shining, Shimmering and Splendid

When in Manila during the holidays, you’d find rows and rows of houses — whether made of sturdy stone, piled up bricks or mere scrap wood — beautifully decorated with parol (star-shaped Christmas lanterns), Christmas lights, and even Santa Clause on his sleigh. Filipinos really enjoy putting up these whimsical and colorful decors to their homes each year, making it one of the most exciting traditions in the country.

When I was passing by Dapitan street awhile ago, I saw several booths selling Christmas gift boxes, Christmas balls, parols, hanging Santa Clauses, etc.. And behind them was a building that looked like a warehouse. Hanging above its entrance was a banner that read “Dapitan Tiangge.” I thought might as well check it out. Lo and behold! I was surprised to find that inside Dapitan Tiangge were endless booths filled with shining, shimmering Christmas decors.
