The cycling event aims to celebrate the workforce, particularly those who take the eco-friendly route by biking to work. The route will highlight the bike infrastructure the city has built and will start at Magdamag Market Café at 14 Sgt. Esguerra Ave at 7:00AM and end at the same location at 9:30AM. The stops include Krebs Cycles, UP Diliman, and Quezon City Bus Lanes.

The event, in partnership with NYMA and Esteban Cycling Community, will continue until 12 PM with a short program after the ride also at Magdamag Market Cafe. Games and giveaways from various brand partners also await participants.

According to a 2023 survey by Social Weather Stations (SWS), one in every three Filipino households owns a bike. “Cycling has proven its worth as a practical mode of transport,” says Buji Babiera, founder of First Bike Ride. “This event is a tribute to every Filipino worker who rides to work and those dedicated to maintaining a cycling lifestyle.”

Those who are interested in joining may follow and send a direct message to @firstbikeride on Instagram to secure a slot. Walk-ins are welcome, and latecomers can catch up at subsequent stops. All bike riders are welcome, provided they wear helmets and practice respectful road etiquette.
