Better add this Filipino film to your to-watch list! Thriller film “UnTrue” starring Cristine Reyes and Xian Lim is coming to Netflix this month!
Viva Films dropped the announcement on its official Instagram page on Tuesday, June 9. It will premiere on the streaming site on June 22.
“UnTrue”, directed by Sigrid Andrea Bernardo, who was behind the well-loved 2017 film Kita Kita, follows the story of Mara (Cristine), an abused woman who seeks the help of Georgian police to help her deal with her husband Joachim (Xian). But as the film progresses, it becomes a he-said/she-said narrative of mounting suspense as the couple’s dark secrets unravel one by one.
Cristine won the award for Best Actress for her role at the 40th Porto International Film Festival in Europe back in March.
