Manila, 23 August 2013 – Changing the world is one monumental task, so Ashoka fellow Jane Leu thought it would be great to ease the burdens of social sector leaders by taking some key functions like finance and grant writing off their shoulders.

Digital strategist Ros Juan has been so passionate about social media and online collaboration for noble causes like #rescuePH that she wanted to create a dedicated community for similar-minded Filipinos.

Writer Ana P. Santos wished to break the prudish silence that was preventing young people from being properly informed about their sexual health rights.

So what do these women all have in common?

First, they made all of that happen—Leu with Smarter Good, Juan with netizen community TweetupMNL, and Santos with sexual health information portal SexandSensibilities.com and by co-founding Writer’s Block Philippines.

Two, they’re all communicating for social change.

Three, they’re going to be together in a forum to show how women leaders engage communities in a rather tech-savvy way.

And you can join definitely join them on August 27 (Tuesday), 1:30-4:30pm at Top Shelf, Fully Booked High Street, Bonifacio Global City for only P350. Limited seats are available though, so interested participants are advised to email writersblock.ph@gmail.com or call 0917-820-7277.

This event is presented by Smarter Good and Writer’s Block Philippines and sponsored by BusinessWorld, WhenInManila.com, Fully Booked, MicroSourcing, Shopinas.com, Peter & Harris Digital Inc., Commune, Kape Isla, and Edgy Veggy.
