Brat summer lives on. Collins Dictionary recently named โBratโ as the word of the year.
According to Collins Dictionary, the redefined term โbratโ became one of the most talked about words of the year following Charli XCXโs globally acclaimed studio album of the same name.
โMore than a hugely successful album, โbratโ is a cultural phenomenon that has resonated with people globally, and โbrat summerโ established itself as an aesthetic and a way of life,โ the English dictionary wrote on its website.
In pop culture, the word โbratโ is now characterized by a โconfident, independent, and hedonistic attitude.โ It has deviated from the usual meaning of the word, which describes someone who is annoying or behaving badly.
