On August 20, Cinemalaya announced that the 20th edition of the much-awaited film festival is set to take place on October 3 to 12 at the Shangri-La Plaza cinemas.
“After months of anticipation… it’s here!” the post reads.
“Fearless films. New voices. Stories that stay with us,” it added. “Stay tuned as we journey toward another unforgettable festival.”
The independent film festival, traditionally held every July or August, was postponed to October this year due to funding concerns. It has also typically taken place at the Cultural Center of the Philippines, but was moved to other cinemas because of the venue’s ongoing renovations.
