The online initiative called “Mga Awit Mula sa Tabing Ilog the Musical” will feature all its cast members singing from their homes and will also show a few clips from the stage production. Live interactive sessions will also take place for fans to get to learn more about the whole play which premiered onstage last March 7 at the Dolphy Theater before its run was cut short by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The television series, which aired from March 1999 to October 2003 on ABS-CBN, follows the story of a group of best friends who use a riverbank as their secret hideaway to confide in each other about their problems navigating teenhood.
It was top-billed by Paula Peralejo, John Lloyd Cruz, Patrick Garcia, Jodi Sta.

The chosen cast members for the musical include theater actors, TV personalities from ABS-CBN’s Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) and Star Hunt, and members of Filipino idol girl group MNL48. See the full list here!
