In a TikTok video, the actor-singer was asked by his followers if he still keeps in touch with his fellow The Hunks members and other celebrities he had previously worked with, prompting him to discuss the group’s disbandment.
He explained that the group disbanded because the members wanted to pursue different career paths.
“Kaya nga nabuwag kasi gusto ng kanya-kanyang career nung iba (That’s why it disbanded because some members wanted to pursue their own careers),” he said.
“Kasi pag group, pantay-pantay kami sa exposure, sa TF (talent fee), sa career. So para makaangat yung iba, parang nabuwag (Because in a group, we all get equal exposure, talent fees, and career opportunities. So for others to rise, it seems like the group had to break up).”
Agassi recalled that no one from the group checked on him when he suffered an injury, noting, “Noong napilayan ako, walang nag-check sakin pero di masama yun. Okay lang, ganun talaga buhay (When I got injured, no one checked on me, but that’s okay. It’s not a big deal, that’s just life).”

He also mentioned that when he messaged the members to ask if they could appear in the music video for his 2023 song “Milk Tea,” he was left on read, despite guesting at one of the members’ concerts for free.
“Naalala ko nga nasa States ako, may magko-concert [sa kanila], babayaran raw nila ako para mag-guest. Sabi ko, โHindi, brother kita, kuya ko kayo lahat. Ako pinakabata. Tara, walang bayad, Iโll do it for you, my bro.โ So, ginawa ko (I remember when I was in the States, one of them was going to have a concert, and they said they would pay me to be a guest. I said, โNo, you’re my brother, youโre all like older brothers to me. Iโm the youngest. Come on, no need for payment, Iโll do it for you, my bro.โ So, I did it),” he shared.
“Noong gumawa ako ng ‘Milk Tea,’ marami akong minessage para lumabas sa music video, seen (When I released ‘Milk Tea,’ I messaged a lot of people to appear in the music video, but I got left on seen).”
However, he emphasized that he has no ill will toward his former The Hunks co-members.
“Hindi masama yun, ganun talaga, that’s life. Kumbaga, magkakakumpitensiya kami, ayaw nilang makabalik ako (That’s not bad, that’s just how it is, that’s life. Apparently, we are competing, they don’t want me to come back),” he continued.
In a separate TikTok video, Agassi responded to another question from his follower, who asked if he ever feels envious of his co-members. He reiterated that he is genuinely happy for them.
“Iโm very, very happy for them. Sobrang natutuwa ako for them. Kanya-kanya tayo ng path (I’m really happy for them. We have our own path). Letโs not compare ourselves to others,” he said.

The actor even opened up about battling depression when he received criticisms for his song “Milk Tea.”
“Talagang iyak ako nang iyak, sobrang depressed (I’m really crying a lot, I’m so depressed),” he admitted.
“Ngayon, positive na dahil yung matagal kong ginagawa na pag-share ng knowledge ko sa fitness, ngayon sa wakas, naapply niyo, natutuwa kayo, nagagamit niyo. Nakikita niyo yung sincerity ko (Now, it’s positive because the knowledge I’ve been sharing about fitness for a long time, you’ve finally applied it, you’re happy with it, you’re using it. You’re seeing my sincerity). Just be yourself.”ย
All members of The Hunks are focusing on their individual endeavors. In 2015, they last performed together at the 20th-anniversary celebration of the noontime variety showย ASAP.
