Caloocan launches different services “on wheels” to prevent overcrowding

To prevent overcrowding in public places, the Caloocan government has launched different “on wheels” initiatives for its residents. These projects will also help residents get their necessities without having to travel far from their homes. So far, Caloocan has launched a mobile palengke (market), mobile botika (drug store), and a mobile ATM.

The “Jeepalengke” offers residents fresh vegetables, chicken, pork, eggs, and other produce for residents. The “Mobile Botika Libreng Gamot” aims to give free vitamins and medicines as they visit different barangays around the city. Lastly, they also launched a mobile bank in partnership with PNB. This will allow residents to withdraw cash from local and international banks.

Schedules of these mobile initiatives will be posted on social media to inform residents about its whereabouts. With this, the Caloocan government reminds everyone to practice social distancing, wear face masks, and bring their quarantine passes when they go out of the house.
