Â
WHEN IN MANILA and craving for a good burger, you should head to Midnight Mercato Centrale at Bonifacio Global City and grab a steamed cheeseburger at Johnny Steams.
Â
Â
John Ongsiaco, owner of Johnny Steams, got the inspiration of steamed burgers from a burger joint in the U.S. John liked the idea and applied the same concept here in Manila. He said that slow-cooking the patty will make it dry so he had the high voltage steamer custom-made, which cooks the burgers faster, keeping it juicy and yummy.

Yankee Burger (Php 140)
Â
Among all the mouthwatering Johnny Steams burgers, the bestseller and my personal favorite would be the Yankee Burger – oozing with peanut butter, crispy bacons and melted mozzarella cheese.Â
Â
Â
Can you believe that this Yankee  Burger is only Php 140 pesos?!
Â
We’re just as amazed!Â
Â
The Breakfast Club (Php 170)
Â
Â
Johnny Steams’s TBC Burger is HUGE! Dubbed as “the breakfast of the champions,” you truly deserve a trophy after finishing a whole 100% premium beef patty burger with egg, bacons, ham and a good serving of melted mozzarella cheese.Â
Â
Chili Cheese Burger (Php 130)
Â
For those who love spicy foods, Johnny Steams’s Chili Cheese Burger is a must-try! The homemade chili combined with hot jalapeño peppers was a winner!
Â
The BMM (Bacon Mushroom Melt – Php 150)
Â
The picture of Johnny Steams’s BMM speaks volumes. This classic burger contains melted mozzarella cheese, crispy bacon strips, caramelized mushroom topped with special flowing cheese sauce.
Â
Â
White Truffle Cheese Fries (Php 130) | Chili Cheese Fries (Php 80)
Â
Aside from their scrumptious burgers, Johnny Steams also boasts of their mozzarella cheesesticks and amazing fries. We were all raving about the white truffle cheese fries – it was worth every centavo!
Â
Â
And to relieve your thirst, I recommend having Johnny Steams’s lemon mint iced tea and refreshing lemonade – the perfect thirst quenchers for a hearty dinner.
