Our group tried different drinks, not just milk tea, including the BubbaTella (Nt), S’mores Milk Tea Frost (Tx), Strawberry Milk Tea Float with vanilla ice cream (Sf) and Bubba Lab Frappe (Bp). We also tried their ultimate bestseller, the Fuzzy Melon Black (Fm), their own version of the popular winter melon; and their newest flavor, the Ovaltine Milk Tea (Ov), which is part of their “flavours that can bring back your good childhood memories” back to school bonding project. Don’t the names already scream fun in themselves?

Their LABtizers and their Red Velvet Grid Cakes are also must-tries! The Super Nova is also highly recommended (with potato wedges, beer-battered fish, squid fritters and nachos with your choice of dip: Honey Mustard, Garlic Aioli, Tartare Sauce, Tomato Salsa, Spice-infused Vinegar or Jalapeno Cheese), especially if you’re with friends who love finger food that tastes really, really good.
Also, the Red Velvet Grid Cakes are heaven-sent – comfort food at its best! These are Hong Kong-style waffles with a twist, filled and folded with different fillings (Nutella, Cream Cheese, Warm Berry, Cookie Butter).

Their drinks only cost P55-P130; the Labtizers only cost P60-P225; and their Red Velvet Grid Cakes only cost P55-P85. Talk about sulit!
Our verdict? No doubts. A 10/10 for this!

One scienTEAst (aka barista) working on an order
During school days, Bubba Lab Cafe is mostly packed with students who are regulars of the cafe. This has led to their Open Mic sessions, which feature different bands every Saturday night (the schedule for the next Open Mic session is still on the works, though).
Wondering why this cafe is named Bubba Lab Cafe? Bubba \ˈbə-bə\ is the slang term for ‘bubbles’, referring to the foam that they create by brewing, stirring, agitating and shaking their tea, juice and coffee! The uniqueness, commitment to product quality, customer service and experience draw their customers back to them from their distinctive ambiance to the surprisingly different yet great selections. Surely everyone will easily find a favorite, or two, or maybe even more in no time!
