BTS x James Jean: Seven Phases Exhibition in Manila Will Give You a Glimpse of Hybe Insight Museum

If you’re an ARMY and art enthusiast, you’d really love to visit BTS x James Jean: Seven Phases Exhibition! This remarkable collaboration between the global sensation and renowned Taiwanese-American visual artist will take you into a once-in-a-lifetime artistic experience. The exhibition launched at Hybe Insight museum in Seoul in 2021 is finally here in Manila, allowing Filipino ARMYs to immerse in the world of BTS through the lens of James Jean.

His artworks were inspired by the personalities, characteristics, and even nicknames of the seven members reimagined as the spirit of flowers—with their own unique names—in “The Garden.” James based these masterpieces on the lyrics of the septet’s song The Truth Untold, which says, “Bloomed in the garden of loneliness, a flower that resembles you.”

Why You Must Visit BTS x James Jean: Seven Phases Exhibition

Aside from admiring the stunning BTS-inspired artworks A.K.A ~Namjooning~ and witnessing James’ intricate process of crafting them one by one, you’ll also get the chance to see the actual clothes BTS wore in the music video of their hits, Butter and Permission to Dance at the BTS Assets Zone.

You wouldn’t want to leave this area because even their iconic Dior stage outfits from their Mic Drop performance during the 2019 Love Yourself: Speak Yourself world tour were also there! (Can I just say that I almost kneeled in front of j-hope’s legendary and viral ‘fit! What a sight to see!).

The exhibition also showcased each member’s microphone and in-ear monitor, including their coveted trophies from the Billboard Music Awards, American Music Awards, and MTV Europe Music Awards, Guinness World Record plaques, and more cherished items. These are all straight from the Hybe Insight museum, so you’ll definitely get a sneak peek of what’s inside the museum without flying to South Korea.

There’s also a Fan Zone at the exhibit, where ARMYs can pose with BTS’ led photos as well as their microphones, write messages, and, of course, buy merchandise. You’ll miss the OT7 more once you reach this area!
