Just days after completing his mandatory military service, BTS’ Suga donated five billion won (approximately P208,465,935) to help establish a specialized treatment center for individuals with autism spectrum disorder at Yonsei Severance Hospital in Seoul.

According to several Korean media reports, the hospital recently held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Min Yoon Gi Treatment Center, named after the BTS member. The facility will offer language, psychiatric, and behavioral support for young patients with autism, along with various programs that integrate clinical treatment and research. It is expected to open this September.
Reports added that Suga met with Professor Cheon Keun-ah from the Department of Psychiatry at Yonsei Severance Hospital in November to discuss the long-term, personalized care required by children with autism. This meeting led to the development of a new program called MIND (Music, Interaction, Network, Diversity), which uses music-based social skills training to help children with autism develop communication and social interaction abilities.

Over the past few months, Suga personally volunteered on weekends during his military service leave to play guitar for children with autism and teach them musical activities such as rhythm-matching and emotional expression through music.
Suga is the last BTS member to complete his military service, officially finishing on June 21 as a social service worker.
