The K-pop superstar kicked off the Asia leg of his first solo tour in Manila, marking his first visit to the country since BTS’ Wings Tour in 2017.
Filipino ARMYs truly poured their hearts out, showering J-Hope with unwavering love and support through roaring fan chants, lovely fan projects, and passionate singalongs, perfectly matching his electrifying energy.
During Day 1 of the concert, J-Hope described his return to Manila as “beyond expectation,” emphasizing how much he absorbed the Filipino ARMYs’ energy.
“It’s such a long time since I last visited Manila, Philippines, and of course, it’s beyond expectation,” he said through a translator.
“Na-absorb ko talaga ‘yung energy saka ‘yung vibe niyo kaya I’m looking forward to this Asia tour. (I really absorbed your energy and vibe that’s why I’m looking forward to this Asia tour). And with that, you guys gave me a lot of inspiration today.”
The venue erupted in cheers as he added, “Siyempre babalik ako dito (Of course, I will come back here). I will never forget Manila and make sure to come back.”

On Day 2, the BTS member noted that he was moved by Filipino ARMYs’ “positive energy.”
“It’s been a long time since I came here as BTS, right? I’m really happy that I started the Asia tour in this very hot and passionate city. I’m really touched by your energy. I’ll be able to finish this tour because of your positive energy,” he expressed.
J-Hope once again promised to return to the country—this time, with a heartfelt pinky promise gesture!
“I really promise to you guys that I will be back,” he affirmed.
J-Hope’s return to Manila has definitely sparked hope among Filipino ARMYs for a BTS concert, especially with the group’s highly anticipated reunion this June once all members have officially completed their mandatory military service.
We’ll see, Filipino ARMYs! But for now, let’s start saving up for the long-awaited BTS concert we’ve all been hoping for!
