“You are the cause of my euphoria…” But what if that euphoria came in the form of blood bags, warm hearts, and lives saved?
This August, as BTS’ Jungkook turns another year older, his Filipino fans are proving yet again that being a fan can go far beyond streaming and cheering. Now in its 4th year, the annual blood-letting drive organized by BFM Jungkookies (Jungkook-biased Filipino ARMYs) is back with its signature brand of compassion, purpose, and purple love.
Themed “Euphoria in Every Drop,” this year’s event continues its partnership with the Philippine Red Cross (PRC)—a collaboration that has collected a total of over 390 bags of blood since 2022.
From Fan Club to Lifesaving Movement
It all started with a simple idea: to celebrate Jungkook’s birthday in a way that reflects who he is—humble, big-hearted, and always thinking of others. Since then, the drive has grown from 80 bags in 2022 to 169 in 2023, and even 143 bags in 2024 (despite the long weekend).
In July 2024, PRC awarded the organizers with a Diploma of Service, a recognition given to partners who have collectively donated over 200 bags of blood—proof that this once-small project has now become a meaningful force for good.
More Than Just a Celebration
In 2024 alone, just days after the blood-letting, the collected donations were able to help three patients in urgent need—an impact that hits close to home for many members of the community, especially medical professionals and families who know how crucial blood supply can be.
During the pandemic, several doctors voiced how urgent and often life-threatening the shortage of blood was. This event became a way for fans to act—not just admire.

At the heart of it all is the Filipino ARMY community—especially BFM Jungkookies, an accredited sub-group of Borahae From Manila (a non-profit, non-stock corporation built by and for ARMYs) made up of passionate volunteers united by their love for BTS and a passion for service.
