I’ve always wondered how celebrities get their ultra-white teeth. Some say it’s genetics, some say it’s cosmetic dentistry, and some say they are trying natural remedies. Believe me, I’ve tried most of it, but nothing really worked.
The Smile Bar PH promises visibly whiter teeth in less than an hour. I want to use the word ‘visibly’ because there are many services that promise the same results, but don’t offer anything that is visible to the naked eye.
The Smile Bar is originally from Hong Kong but the concept and the Brilliant Smile products are from Sweden. It opened here at Uptown BGC a few months ago. Many have tried it and attested that it only took 1 session for them to get teeth that are at least 6 shades lighter.
As soon as you enter the center, you will be greeted by their staff and ultra clean facility. You will have to sign some forms and your teeth will be checked.
You teeth’s color will then be assessed, and you can take a photo for before-and-after comparisons if you want.
Then you will be asked to brush your teeth with their Brilliant Smile toothpaste and mouthwash that is also imported from Sweden.
When you get your treatment, you will be asked if you want to use their headphones and/or iPad for entertainment. They also have WiFi!
They then explained the treatment. They shared that they use Brilliant Smile perfect white gel in a mouthguard like an apparatus for you to bite on.
A light will then be pointed to the apparatus and you will leave it on for at least 20 minutes, depending on the treatment you are availing.
There is single, double and triple whitening. Triple whitening is perfect for those who have darker shades of teeth and express or double for those who don’t need too much. The results vary depending on how fast your teeth interact with the products. Some teeth whiten easily, while others are slower.
I started with Shade 26 and after a double whitening treatment, I am a shade 22. JR, on the other hand, started at shade 28 and ended up with shade 22 after a triple whitening treatment.
Just a heads up: the whitening gel doesn’t really taste good, but tiis ganda, bes!
After the treatment, we got the Nano Seal Total+, which helps the lightened effect stay and prevents teeth from staining.
They will simply apply Nano Seal on your teeth and voila! You’re good to go!
I didn’t want to believe the effect because it might wear out after a day or two. But to my surprise, my teeth are really whiter even after a few days. Even my mom noticed it!
