Beyoncé makes history once again.

On February 3 (Philippine Time), multi-award-winning superstar Beyoncé won the “Best Country Album” for her eighth studio album Cowboy Carter at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards.

The 43-year-old singer-songwriter, visibly surprised by her unexpected win, was honored by none other than pop star and former country singer Taylor Swift.
“Wow, I really was not expecting this,” she said as she received her award.
“I want to thank God that I’m able to still do what I love after so many years,” she added. “I’d like to thank all of the incredible country artists that accepted this album. We worked so hard on this.”
For this win, she became the first Black woman to take home the prestigious award.
“I think sometimes genre is a code word to keep us in our place as artists, and I just want to encourage people to do what they’re passionate about.”
She bested fellow nominees, including Post Malone’s F-1 Trillion, Kacey Musgraves’ Deeper Well, Lainey Wilson’s Whirlwind, and Chris Stapleton’s Higher. She also won the Best Country Duo/Group Performance award for “II Most Wanted,” which is her Cowboy Carter duet with Miley Cyrus.
As of writing, she has received 11 nominations for the 2025 Grammys, the most for this year’s edition. Her nominations include Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, among others.
Currently, Beyoncé holds the record as the most-awarded figure in Grammy History.
