Baguio Ecopark’s Dinosaurs Island: Explore the Lost World of Dinosaurs

How adorable are Dinosaur Island’s dinosaur egg restrooms?

All around the park, you’ll find these dinosaur eggs where you can take wacky photos. I love these things!

You can also see some dino hatchlings trying to break free.

This is a female tyrannosaurus rex, the king (or rather queen) of the dinosaurs. Look at all that teeth. The real t-rex would have a whole lot more rows of teeth which can grow as long as an adult’s forearm. Judging by her size, this t-rex is still in her twenties.

Here we have the male tyrannosaurus rex. The female t-rex is actually bigger since she’s the one who lays the eggs. Who run the Lost World? Girls.

The brontosaurus is hard to photograph because it’s got a really long tail which can’t fit into the frame.

To wrap up the tour, guests are treated to a show of dancing dinosaurs with choreography that not only drops with the beat, but also mimics the movement of the dinosaurs they portray. It’s a couple of minutes of funny entertainment and a great way to finish the tour of Dinosaurs Island.

My pathetic attempt to imitate Chris Pratt’s raptor training scene in Jurassic World. If you’re able to visit Dinosaurs Island and take a better photo, tag @WheninManila if and when you post it!

Whether you’re savvy about dinosaurs or are just looking for a great travel experience, Dinosaurs Island has got you covered. It was a “jawsome” tour. We left with great photos and more dino 411 and fun facts. Based on photos and movies, the replicas of the dinosaurs look real. And though we’re certain they won’t chop our heads off, a huge dinosaur replica towering over you can be enough to get your imagination going.

Fun rides in the park and ziplining are currently in the works to provide visitors with even more fun experiences. We’re looking forward to these thrilling additions to the park!

Holy Land, Baguio Ecopark’s other theme park, is located just beside Dinosaurs Island in the great expanse of land where these two parks are situated. Entrance is Php350 per person for Dinosaurs Island or Holy Land, and a package rate for the tour of both parks is Php600.

Don’t forget to wear comfortable walking shoes for this tour should something chase you; in which case, run.

Thank you to Baguio Ecopark for inviting WheninManila.com and to Ms. Angeli M. Marasigan for arranging the tours!
