When In Manila — Seafood lovers unite! All aboard the Shrimp ship as we’ve found a new gem in Tuscany, McKinley that serves one of the best shrimps in town! 

 

Bag O’ Shrimps takes pride of their shrimps (and they are not kidding!) but they also offer an assortment of dishes available. I like the fact that their menu is simple but packed with choices that goes well with their specialty shrimps — and they also offer cheap imported beer!

 

Bag O’ Shrimps has a nautical feel inside with elements that you can see in a wharf. I love how the place looks so bright and welcoming.

The husband and wife tandem behind Bag O’ Shrimps, Princess and Jandrew Pastoril decided to put up Bag O’ Shrimps to give Filipinos something unique and a give up new dining experience. Talking about the #bagoshrimps experience, eating here means no plates and utensils — it’s about using your hands and savoring every single piece and relish every flavor. But don’t fret, as you can always request for plates, gloves and utensils. But trust me, let your hands do the work!

Crab Bomb Sticks – Php185.00

 

Talk about the BOMB! We definitely enjoyed this. The added jalapeno gave it a unique twist that we all loved! Plus the dip, which is an in-house concoction, was a superb pair to it.

 

And the star of the show, why of course — The SHRIMPS!

Our mildly spiced Bag O’ Momma shrimps – what can I say? It was heaven on my taste buds!

 

The Bag O’ Shrimps  is available in four flavors: Lemon Pepper, Cajun, Garlic Butter, and the combination of the three makes the Bag O’ Momma. You have the option to choose the spiciness level and you can also add in some corn and sausages to the bag! 

The Bag O’ Shrimp is priced at Shrimp is at P565 for453g (1lb). You can also have crabs at P130 for 100g, and Clams and Mussels at P295 for 500g. For a group of 4, we downed two pounds of scrumptious shrimps! It was really good! The shrimps are very fresh and easy to peel! Opted to pair it with rice and bam! I was sure that I will be coming back to Bag O’ Shrimps again and again.

 

We get to chat with Princess and she told us about how Bag O’ Shrimps was conceived. We were surprised that she herself perfected the Bag O’ Momma sauce that we all loved — her love for cooking paved the birth of Bag O’ Shrimps.

 

 

Sweet Potato Fries – Php115.00 | A sweet alternative to fries. Not so heavy to the stomach and not greasy too.
