Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez have officially made progress in divorcing one another after over two years of marriage.
PEOPLE.com confirmed that Ariana, 30, filed for separation last September 18 with Dalton, 28, “filing a response immediately following.” The date of separation is listed as February 20, 2023.

News of the couple’s reportedly amicable split first came to light in July after they allegedly struggled to maintain their long-distance relationship as Ariana filmed for “Wicked” in London and failed to reconcile their “differences.” Sources later alleged that Ariana started dating her “Wicked” costar Ethan Slater, known best for his role as Spongebob Squarepants in “SpongeBob SquarePants: The Broadway Musical,” who had also filed for divorce from his wife Lilly Jay that same month.
Ariana and Dalton have been seeing each other since January 2020 and made it official in May when they appeared in the music video for her song with Justin Bieber “Stuck with U.” They then announced their engagement in December before tying the knot an intimate ceremony at home at Montecito, California on May 2021.
According to TMZ, they have a prenuptial agreement in place.
