Good news! Anthony Pangilinan shared his recovery from another heart procedure just in time for his 60th birthday.

In an Instagram post, the Pangilinan patriarch is grateful for the gift of life and being surrounded by his family.

“Just flew back to Manila from Singapore for another heart procedure after my successful surgery last September, just in time for my 60th, and a simple dinner with my family,” he said. “Wow, after 3 months, a regular heart rate once again! It was running at Mach 2 speed! What a gift! Thank you for all your prayers and best wishes. Still open to donations! Haha!”
“Seriously, what a journey it has been. Just full of gratitude from a heart that’s beating and blessed with life,” he added.
His son, Donny Pangilinan, penned a heartfelt birthday message for his father on Instagram.

“Father, you’re 60. To the strongest man I know, thank you for all that you do. We love you tremendously. Bigger and brighter days are ahead!!! ❤️” he wrote, sharing an old family photo, a photo of him attending to his father at the hospital, and solo shots of his father.
Donny’s mother Maricel Laxa also commented on his Instagram post: “60 na pero may Asim pa.😆Happy birthday Chief! ❤️”
In October, Anthony confirmed that he had a successful open-heart surgery after being diagnosed with a “heart valve issue.”
