One of the greatest novels of Philippine’s national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal is Noli me Tangere. The novel revolves around the story of Crisostomo Ibarra, a young man with a vision for his country and men. Rizal presented different kinds of characters in the novel and it is believed that they represent an ordinary Filipino of his time.
Ang Huling Pahina written by the multi-awarded playwright Mr. Chris Martinez revolves around the idea of what might happen if three secondary characters of the novel, namely, Donya Victorina, Donya Consolacion, and Kapitan Tiyago were given the chance to speak up.
They questioned their existence and demanded more from the author, little did they know that their characters are pivotal and equally important to spark interest and open one’s mind to endless possibilities.
