In an Instagram post, Alvin cited the Bible, specifically mentioning the “sin of lust,” particularly in reference to women who wear clothes that expose their skin.

“Kahit hindi si Anne ang tinitignan mo ng may pagnanasa may mag iinit sa loob mo, lalo na kapag nakalabas pa ang cleavage mo at legs (Even if it’s not Anne you’re looking at with lust,
something will still ignite inside you, especially when your cleavage and legs are exposed),” he wrote.
He also told Filipino men to protect their wives, advising the women to “dress modestly” to avoid sexual urges.
“Kaya Filipino men protect your wife may ‘Sin of lust’ kasi and Filipino women dress modestly to avoid sexual desire (So Filipino men, protect your wives because there is a ‘sin of lust.’ And Filipino women, dress modestly to avoid stirring sexual desire),” he explained.
He added, “Alam nyo mahirap talaga yan iwasan si Jesus lang ang makakatulong sayo [na] ma-overcome yan (You know, it’s really hard to avoid, only Jesus can help you overcome it).”
This insight from the former actor came after the congressman’s lewd remarks during the proceedings on the pending impeachment complaints against the vice president, where he openly expressed his personal “desire” for actress Anne Curtis.
“Alam niyo minsan, minsan nasa Shangri-La ako, nakita ko si Anne Curtis, ang ganda-ganda pala niya. You know, may desire sa loob ko na, nag-init talaga, na-imagine ko na lang kung ano’ng pwedeng mangyari pero siyempre hanggang imagination na lang ’yon. Pero ‘di naman siguro ako pwedeng kasuhan kung ano ang na-imagine ko eh (You know, sometimes when I’m at Shangri-La, I see Anne Curtis and realize how very beautiful she is. You know, I felt this desire inside me. I get really hot and I imagine what could happen, though of course it remained only in my imagination. But surely I can’t be charged for what I imagined, right)?” the congressman said.
With this statement, many social media users, as well as celebrities and well-known figures, urged the congressman to issue a public apology to the actress.
