Have you decided who you’re going to vote for for President yet? Regardless of who you’re voting for, you have probably voiced out your opinion on the matter a few times, either in person or to your friends… but actor John Arcilla posted a very important and eye-opening message that I believe everyone in the Philippines needs to read right now:
“Hindi si Duterte, Binay, Miriam, Mar o Poe, ang nag papa-WATAK WATAK sa ating BAYAN. TAYO ang nagwawasak sa ating mga SARILI bilang isang BANSA. Every time we try to fight for any of them WE are actually exposing ourselves.
They are just representations of our Rages and Frustrations. MAG-ISIP TAYO. We try to fight for someone whom we don’t even know PERSONALLY, and we are not even sure if they can REALLY deliver. Wag NINYONG WASAKIN ANG INYONG MGA PAMILYA, mga KAMAG ANAK AT KAIBIGAN dahil lang sa PAGBABAKA- SAKALI. Kung maka react tayo minsan DAIG PA NATIN YUNG MISMONG TUMATAKBO.
Kung maka react kayo parang ipagtatanggol talaga kayo ng mga KANDIDATO NYO pag may nangyari sa inyo, sa mga kapatid o pamilya mo. WE ARE JUST MERE NUMBERS TO THEM, and that’s the TRUTH. Samantalang mas makapangyarihan tayo bilang isang bayan na dapat ay may isang PULSO kaysa sa sino mang PINUNO. RELAX. THINK and REFLECT. May God bless this country.”
And it’s so true. Regardless of who you choose to vote for as President, the truth is that our country will not improve if we do not do our part in improving it. While there is nothing wrong with publicly supporting our Presidential candidate of choice, we should remember that we are part of the problem and that we are the ones who truly have the power to make a change. So vote wisely, but make a change for the better at the same time.
