PH MyDays (DAY6 Official Fandom Name), how are you all holding up? Has post-concert depression (PCD) set-in? Yes? Well, that’s perfectly alright!

A huge congratulations to the five boys of Korean band DAY6—Sungjin, Jaehyung, Young K, Wonpil and Dowoonfor another successful concert in the Philippines. After a roaring night during their first concert in the country last October 2018, DAY6 came back with an even bigger and more memorable concert with their 2019 Gravity Tour.

Speaking of bigger, this year’s Manila concert was a special milestone for the band because of the size of the venue. For this world tour, their Manila show at the Araneta Coliseum was actually their biggest concert venue outside of Korea to date!

Upon setting foot on stage, DAY6 was overwhelmed by not only the size of the coliseum, but the number of fans that came to see them perform.

Jae said, “We’re so blessed and honored to be with you beautiful people on this beautiful night.”

During their Manila stop, DAY6 shocked fans by performing not just their recent releases from The Book of Us: Gravity album, but also songs from their latest The Book of Us: Entropy.

Lighting up the stage even more was when they performed a fire mashup of their own songs with American ones like Treasure by Bruno Mars and Shape of You by Ed Sheeran, remixed of course by their talented pianist Wonpil.

Wonpil even cried during DANCE DANCE and Freely, and was unable to sing, but continued to play the piano.

In addition to this, old and new fans alike were thrown back down memory lane when DAY6 performed their classic songs from their humble beginnings, such as Colors and their debut song Congratulations.

All of which were made possible by tweet requests from fans. “It’s always important to us what you want to see and hear,” said Jae.

With this, DAY6 did something that set the crowd on its feet. Coming as a real shock, DAY6 moved to the center stage with their instruments because they wanted to “get closer with the fans”; something they’ve never done before in ANY of their overseas concerts.

Ending that beautiful night, DAY6 was greeted with a special surprise through a fan project video.

With PH My Days’ raising their light bands and banners high in the air after, members Jae and Young K were moved to tears. Another first for the fandom and DAY6, as Jae never cried in a concert until then.

DAY6 then responded by sharing how they too, go through hardships and find it hard sometimes to find the reason why they continue with what they do. However, life gets easier because they find their reason through MyDays.

“It was really hard to find the reason why we sing on the stage, ‘cause we are doing the same thing over and over again, and  I wasn’t doing it for the company, I wasn’t doing it for my parents, I wasn’t doing it for the competition anymore. It justI was looking for the reason why, and there we go. You guys are the answer, ” said Young K.

“Life gets so hard sometimes, and  I’m really appreciative of the fact that we have you guys and that you guys have us. And that we can be each other’s reason to continue […] Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being the reason for me to continue to do my best,” said Jae with teary eyes.
