In an Instagram post, she shared why she has not released an official statement regarding the controversial podcast episode.

“Many of you may have wondered why I gave no statement to what were irresponsible and uninformed opinions. A friend whom I admire for his wisdom told me there are people I should learn not to give oxygen to, in other words ignore, and the issue dies a natural death,” she wrote in an Instagram update.

“By never stating their names, or my feelings, they didn’t get the word war they were expecting,” she added.

The “Queen of All Media” noted that she didn’t feel the need to share details of her private life. Despite this, she highlighted how her eldest son has stood by her side through difficult times.

She also shared anecdotes about how her son expresses love for her: “Kuya is with me during our afternoon siesta, although mine stretches to 4 hours. When he sees Bimb going to his computer, kuya knows it’s his shift. And he loves to say: Mama your shoulder’s here. I sleep best with my head resting on Kuya’s shoulder and my arms wrapped around his left arm. It’s difficult because he can’t move, but Monday to Friday, kuya josh does his share to take care of his mama.”

In a now-deleted episode published on October 5, “Machong Chismisan” host Tito P compared the TV personality’s sons, Bimby and Josh, saying “Si Bimby, sobrang okay na anak, si Josh, walang kwenta eh.”

Soon after the clip went viral, netizens condemned the hosts for ridiculing Josh and criticized how their remarks reflected a lack of sensitivity and empathy toward persons with disabilities.

As of writing, The Pod Network has formally terminated its contract with the “Machong Chismisan” podcast. The hosts of said podcast have also released a public apology to the Aquinos and everyone who was offended by their insensitive remarks.

Kris’ ongoing health struggles

Kris Aquino revealed that she is encountering challenges regarding her health. In the same post, she told followers that she has a new autoimmune disease with “scary” symptoms.

While she did not disclose any more details about her condition, she thanked the doctors and nurses for taking care of her, as well as fans and loved ones who continued praying for her good health.

“Thank you for your prayers and words of encouragement. If I don’t post, I am in so much pain that I’m bedridden for 5 days, or if you don’t see reels — that’s the sign, I am in need of more prayers,” she wrote.

As she navigates a difficult period in her health journey, she reflected on how her late mother, former President Corazon Aquino, prepared the family for life without her.

The TV star added that she witnessed this firsthand, which is why she does not want to give up on life just yet. Instead, she will continue to pray for strength and more time to spend with her sons.

“Bimb still needs more years to be ready for his lifelong responsibility of taking care of his kuya Josh. That’s why ang mama nila hindi pa pwedeng isuko ang laban,” she concluded her post.

Let’s continue to pray for Kris Aquino’s good health and speedy recovery.
