Kaye Abad marked her 44th birthday with an emotional vlog that documents her battle with breast cancer.

In a 25-minute vlog, Kaye shared clips and moments from the past year, where she revealed that she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2025.
Prior to her breast cancer diagnosis, the actress revealed that she had to undergo a mammogram after experiencing prolonged abdominal pain, which she underwent gallbladder stone removal surgery for.
Then, her mammogram results showed “really suspicious” findings, later on confirming that she has breast cancer.
Despite the diagnosis, her journey toward recovery has been filled with love and support, as she is surrounded by family. The actress also shared that, apart from seeking immediate treatment, her spiritual faith never wavered.
“Alam kong hindi ako pababayaan ni Lord (I know that the Lord will never leave my side) because He’s always been there ever since. Kahit dalaga pa ako never akong pinabayaan. Hanggang sa nagka-asawa ako, nagka-anak ako, walang problema. Mataas yung faith ko kay God na hindi niya ako pababayaan (Even when I was still single, I was never neglected. Until I got married and had children, I never had any problems. My faith in God is strong, and I know He will never abandon me). God is good, always. I know he’s just there,” she said in the vlog.
She has now been declared cancer-free by her doctor.
“The doctor declared as of now you can declare that you’re a survivor and cancer-free. I’ve been waiting for this day,” she affirmed.
Kaye Abad has been an actress since 1996 after being a member of ABS-CBN’s “Star Circle.” In 2016, she tied the knot with Paul Jake Castillo.
She is now a hands-on wife and mom to their two sons Pio Joaquin and Iñigo Leon.
