IndieGround is one of the flagship programs of SovndTrip Events and Productions. It is a new platform for independent music and creative culture. A new initiative spotlighting independent music and creative collaboration is set to launch this month as IndieGround kicks off its first event, UNDERCURRENT, happening on March 14, 2026 at Sari Sari Bar.
Positioned as a gathering for music fans, emerging artists, and creative communities, UNDERCURRENT brings together a lineup of acts representing the evolving sounds of the local independent scene. The show will feature performances by Mary Chen, Karilyo, The Nomads, (e)motion engine, and Planetana, with a special pre-show performance by Pommelo.
The event will be hosted by cosplayer Yuumo, highlighting IndieGround’s goal of bridging music with other creative communities and subcultures. Attendees can also expect merchandise from participating artists to be available throughout the evening.
UNDERCURRENT represents the energy and ideas that exist beneath the surface of the music scene, giving space to artists and communities that are shaping the culture in their own way.
Beyond its kickoff event, IndieGround will also unveil its roadmap for 2026, which aims to build a stronger ecosystem for independent music and creative collaboration. The first quarter focuses on discovery and community-building through UNDERCURRENT, introducing audiences to emerging artists while strengthening connections within the scene.
In the second quarter, IndieGround will expand into collaborative projects under the titles Whispers on the Ground and Vibes and Vision, exploring partnerships between musicians and other creatives.
By the third quarter, the platform will shift toward documenting and amplifying underground music culture through initiatives such as The First Time Again and Where Music Goes Viral, highlighting stories and moments within the scene.
The year will culminate in the fourth quarter with artist development programs and larger showcases under projects such as The Launchpad and The Music Network, alongside a mini festival that will bring together artists featured throughout the year.
With a combination of live events, collaborations, and storytelling, IndieGround aims to become a space where emerging musicians can connect with audiences while strengthening the independent music community.
