One of our favorite things to do when traveling is capturing moments, both big and small, and sharing them on social media. People do it for different reasons: some want to document their highlights to look back on in the future, while others want to share their experiences with their community. Both reasons are valid. Now, HUAWEI is introducing its most premium and advanced smartphone lineup yet. They’re calling the HUAWEI Pura 80 the King of Mobile Imaging.

The first thing you’ll notice with the HUAWEI Pura 80 is its sleek design. The smartphone features a matte frosted glass back (with an anti-fingerprint surface!!) that’s smooth to the touch and light in the hand.
Don’t let its lightweight body fool you: the HUAWEI Pura 80 and Pura 80 Pro feature Kunlun Glass 2nd Generation, which improves drop resistance by 20 times to withstand accidental drops. The Pura 80 Ultra is 25 times more resistant to drops and 16 times better against scratches. It’s reassuring to know that you can travel with your smartphone and not have to worry about it on your trip.
The Pura 80’s flat-edge screen looks modern and maximizes the body’s space. We used the Pura 80 in Frosted Gold, and it looks luxurious and eye-catching. Speaking of eye-catching, the smartphone’s suite of cameras is arranged in a forward symbol design, which is a nice touch that represents the brand’s path towards the future.
Capture bright colors
A trip needs a camera that can capture moments beautifully, and the HUAWEI Pura 80 more than delivers.
The smartphone features a 50 MP Ultra Lighting main camera with a smart F1.4-F4.0 variable aperture. The HUAWEI Pura 80 automatically uses the large F1.4 aperture for clear photos, even in dimly lit environments. Colors are true to life with the Ultra XMAGE Camera, powered by 1.5 million multi-spectral channels. HUAWEI also calibrates photos on a pixel level for authentic and vivid colors.

Smooth Experience
The HUAWEI Pura 80 has the EMUI 15, a customized user interface. This has AI Interactive Themes, an AI Smart Controls button for quick app access, AI remove to delete people and objects from photos, and AI Noise Cancellation for crystal-clear calls in any environment.

Overall verdict
Overall, we’re very happy with the HUAWEI Pura 80. The camera quality is great, and we love the 12 MP Periscope Telephoto Camera for zooming in on faraway subjects, as well as the AI remove feature. AI remove is helpful, especially in tourist spots that draw in large crowds. Carrying the smartphone around is a breeze, as it’s lightweight. The anti-fingerprint design is also a favorite, as we held the smartphone the whole time, in case we saw something we wanted to take a photo of.
So, if you’re a regular traveler, the HUAWEI Pura 80 will be a wonderful companion.
