On May 29, his agency, Fantagio, announced that Eun Woo has officially been accepted into the Army Military Band, which he applied for earlier this month.
“We would like to express our gratitude to the AROHA who always send unwavering love to ASTRO, and we have an important announcement regarding our artist Cha Eun Woo’s military enlistment,” the agency wrote in an article published by Soompi. “Recently, Cha Eun Woo applied to join the Army Military Band and received a final acceptance notice from the Military Manpower Administration.”
The actor is set to enter the training center on July 28 and will undergo basic military training before fulfilling his duty in the Army Military Band.
“To prevent safety accidents due to congestion on the day of enlistment, the location and time of Cha Eun Woo’s enlistment will be kept private, and there will be no separate events held,” it continued.
The statement concluded with the agency asking for unwavering support and encouragement as the 28-year-old actor fulfills his mandatory military duty.
Cha Eun Woo is a member of the popular K-pop boy band Astro. Apart from being a singer, he is known for his acting performances in numerous Korean series such as Gangnam Beauty, Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung, True Beauty, and Wonderful World, among others.
Serve well and stay healthy, Cha Eun Woo!
