Music Wizard Cafe is a local cafe in Angono, Rizal that’s all about music and the arts, just as their name suggests.

The cafe is called “Music Wizard” not just because of the music theme of the cafe. Music Wizard was actually a well-known local music school before it became a local coffee spot.

Founded by Joy Vocalan-Cruz in 2002, Music Wizard was the go-to music school in the province for 18 years. But when the pandemic struck and enrollees started to dwindle, they decided to convert Music Wizard into a must-visit food spot in Angono.

The transition into an F&B business wasn’t difficult because Allan Cruz, Joy’s husband, was already famous in the area for his Filipino restaurant.

Music Wizard Cafe started out as a small coffee & tea shop that accommodated parents and guardians of the music school students while they waited for classes to end.

In 2017, the cafe expanded and grew into the gorgeous two-story coffee spot it is today.

The interior of the cafe itself gives tribute to what started it all: arts and music. There are displayed portraits of National Artists from Angono— Maestro Carlos “Botong” Francisco and Maestro Lucio San Pedro.

All around the cafe, there are also instruments that customers can play anytime. There are two pianos, guitars, and even a few violins on display.

If you’re a musician, then you’ll definitely feel at home at this cafe. You can enjoy the opportunity to practice your skills while you enjoy their food and drinks. If you’re just there to eat and have a good time, then you’ll get to enjoy the talents of other customers.

You can also admire the beautiful artworks of local artists on display. This cafe stays true to the fact that Angono is known as the “Art Capital of the Philippines”.

Of course, their menu of delicious food and drinks is not to be ignored.

Their Nachos Supreme is a great way to start your meal. It’s overloaded with deliciously seasoned beef and topped with cheese and jalapeños.

For mains, you should try their Zitighetti, which is so tasty and filling. It’s essentially savory spaghetti but with ziti pasta—such a highly recommended dish.

Looking for a hearty rice meal? Try their Buttered Shrimp, Creamy Beef Steak, or Beef with Mushroom.

They also have classic Pinoy meals available. There’s Adobo ni Botong, Lechon Kawali, and Sisig; that’s only a few of their must-try meals! These entrees are also available in platters good for sharing.

Of course, what’s a cafe without great coffee? Classic hot and cold coffee drinks are available such as Affogato and Spanish Latte. They also have milk teas, hot teas, and overloaded milkshakes that you can enjoy with your meals.

To top off your hearty meal, you can choose a dessert from their wide range of cakes and pastries; also perfect to pair with your cup of coffee.

We just love how chill and homey the vibe is at Music Wizard Cafe. It’s most definitely one of those places that you’d love to visit regularly because of the creative atmosphere paired with a great meal and your choice of beverage.
