Unlike her first album, the singer’s sophomore album strays away from the familiar pop sound that graced her songs like New Rules, and IDGAF. Instead, the singer returns with fun, upbeat, disco-inspired tracks that will surely get you dancing.

The pop star started this era by releasing the single, Don’t Start Now. A certified number 1 global hit, the song was well-received worldwide even garnering praises from fans and followers alike.

The concept for the album came to the singer when she was doing a radio show in Las Vegas and went for a walk to clear her mind. She asked herself, “How could I incorporate that nostalgic feeling of all my favourite childhood memories and inspirations into something new and modern?” And with that, Future Nostalgia was born.
