Celebrities Show Support For ABS-CBN As Quo Warranto Petition Threatens Shutdown

Solicitor General Jose Calida’s filing of a quo warranto petition against ABS-CBN has raised several voices in solidarity with the network. Personalities from various networks have gone public with their support, taking to social media to share their stance.

It isn’t very surprising that there was an outpour of support from ABS-CBN’s roster of stars. Angel Locsin was one of the first to post in defense of the media network. She shared on Instagram the painful truth of the matter, using a photo to depict the most vulnerable actors in this issue.

Enchong Dee joined her on Twitter, posting a lengthy message on the matter. He called for others to speak up, “not only because jobs are in peril, but mainly because we are Filipinos fighting for the democracy and constitution of our country.”

We have one love for the many talents and crafts under this Network, the products, and output of which, directly or indirectly, benefit the lives of millions of Filipinos.”
