Nearly a year after walking the runway of Arab Fashion Week for Furne One, Maymay Entrata decided it was time to see if she would make the cut for New York Fashion Week (NYFW). As one of the most prestigious fashion events in the year, the acclaim of walking in any of its shows is no small matter.

“Nag-audition po ako sa New York Fashion Week,” Maymay revealed during the press conference for the 20th anniversary of Knowledge Channel. “Hindi po biro kasi ‘yun, so hindi ko pa po talaga alam kung sakaling matutuloy po ‘yun.”

It seems like Maymay could have a good shot at earning a spot, as she auditioned as a muse for Furne One once again. Hopefully, her past work experience with the Dubai-based designer gives her an edge in her audition
She shared after the press conference that she had a “live” audition.
“Iyong designer pa rin po si Ms. Furne One, parang online po. Bale pinost lang po ‘yung audition ko. Live po ‘yun, hindi lang si Ms. Furne One [ang nandoon] kundi ‘yung mga… Sino nga ba ‘yun? Iyong mga nasa New York Fashion Week, mga malalaking tao doon,” she said. “Kung tanggap ako, e di tanggap.
Pero alamin po natin.”

New York Fashion Week begins September 6. It is unclear when news of Maymay’s audition results will be announced.
