‘Stranger Things’ Star Joe Keery Released His Debut Single And It’s So Good!

Did you know that before Joe Keery became the widely beloved Steve Harrington in Stranger Things, he was part of a band called Post Animal? Well, Joe recently went back to his musical roots and released a debut single under the name Djo.

“Roddy” is a psych-tinged indie-rock tune, as described by Rolling Stone. Joe wrote it himself and has a low-key, intimate vibe. I’d describe it as ‘if Rooney, The XX, and Arctic Monkeys had a song baby’. It’s one of those songs you’d put on in the middle of a rainy afternoon with lyrics such as, “So man in the mirror/Make another home here/You’re put together but clear/You’re lacking substance not fear”.

We hope he releases more music soon since “Roddy” is already showing promise! It’s currently streaming on all major music streaming sites.
