‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ Series Currently in The Works, to be Directed by ‘The Conjuring’ Creator

The announcements for horror franchise reboots just won’t stop coming this year, huh? The Saw reboot is currently in the middle of filming and two Halloween movies are coming soon. Now, the hit ’90s slasher flick I Know What You Did Last Summer is going to be rebooted and adapted into a TV series.

The film, along with its sequel I Still Know What You Did Last Summer, has found its place among horror classics. According to Bloody Disgusting, the TV show will follow a similar plot to the movie and will follow young adults as they are chased around by an unknown killer.

There aren’t many details regarding the show as it is still in development, but production has confirmed that Shay Hatten (John Wick 3) will write while James Wan (The Conjuring, Saw) is set to direct the pilot.

The cast has yet to be announced but shooting will supposedly begin this fall.
