July 29 was a highly-awaited day for many K-fans.

Ever since fashion brand Penshoppe announced that they would be bringing Korean superstars Sandara Park, former member of K-pop girl group 2NE1, and Nam Joo Hyuk, lead actor of the hit K-drama “Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo” to the Philippines, fans have been trying to contain their excitement.

Armed with lovely banners, light sticks, headbands, and finger hearts; fans flocked to the Mall of Asia Arena to see both of them in the flesh, and hopefully score a meet-and-greet and photo opportunity. Believe me when I say there is no underestimating the popularity of the two stars. The arena was completely full.

Nam Joo Hyuk, in particular, seemed to have everyone under his spell. All he had to do was smile and wave, and our day was immediately complete! He is well-loved by everyone, and for good reason. He is a charming man with a grateful heart. And of course, he’s SUPER DUPER CUTE!

Let’s take a look back at 5 of the ‘Super Kilig’ Nam Joo Hyuk moments during the Penshoppe Fan Con.

5. When Joo Hyuk wow-ed us during his entrance.

After the performances and fashion show, Dara and Joo Hyuk’s glorious entrance happened. Who could ever forget that moment? Fans went wild, and all we could hear were our deafening screams. Joo Hyuk looked so handsome in person! He was smiling at everyone and made sure everyone felt his overflowing happiness and love.

4. When Joo Hyuk shyly strutted across the stage.

Our oppa is a Korean model-turned-actor, so it only makes sense that he’s very confident walking the runway. However, when the hosts asked if they could walk to the center stage to hype up the fans, Joo Hyuk got pretty shy and even hid his face in his hands. Whether his bashfulness was all pretend, or if he really was embarrassed, everyone just found him too cute for words!

3. When Joo Hyuk showered us with his (finger heart) love.

The finger heart is a gesture done by Korean celebrities as an alternative to the full heart sign when sending their thanks and love. The hosts of the night joked that the crowd would erupt into a loud cheer every time Joo Hyuk raised a finger heart, and it was definitely true. No one could contain their intense kilig, especially because it was the Ultimate Oppa showering the fans with so much love.

2. When fans chanted “Lee Sung Kyung” to tease Joo Hyuk.

During the interview portion of the fan con, everyone started chanting “Lee Sung Kyung,” much to Joo Hyuk’s stunned silence.

His show “Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo” and his co-model/co-star Sung Kyung made millions of hearts flutter. They dated in real life during (or after? No one is really sure) their Weightlifting days, but broke up because of their busy schedules. He was flustered to hear that everyone’s still rooting for his relationship with his ex-girlfriend. But, hey, we simply can’t get over them!

1. When Joo Hyuk gave a fan an experience of a lifetime.

The big winner of the night was none other than this female fan who got to act out a scene from “Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo” with the actor himself. During the “Nam Drama Game,” two female participants were asked to play an irritated Kim Bok Joo.

Joo Hyuk, reliving his character as Jung Joon Hyung, gamely portrayed the scene, and showed that it’s not for the faint-hearted. He chased after the girl who tried to get away, grabbed her romantically, flashed her a finger heart, and even hugged her close for a few seconds! We couldn’t keep calm. I’m sure every girl in the arena was hoping they could do a scene with Joo Hyuk, too.
