For those in the know, doing this simple step can stop hackers from recording or taking screenshots of you and your screen.
And it turns out it’s not just paranoia. Other people are doing it, too, like Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director James Comey.
Edward Snowden, a whistleblower who specialized in surveillance programs, said that Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ) ran a program called Optic Nerve, which used a popular chat program to take photos from millions of accounts.
Hackers do this by installing malware on computers through attachments. To prevent this, simply install a good antivirus software and a firewall, and do not click suspicious links.
Some commented that it may not be Zuckerberg’s laptop because it’s not in a private office, but the CEO is known to work with the rest of the staff.
Others noted that the situation is ironic, after Facebook recently denied claims that they use microphones to eavesdrop on calls to improve targeted ads.
