Ani ng Dangal is an annual affair in the Philippines celebrated as a highlight of the Philippine Arts Festivala tradition of recognizing Filipino excellence in the arts.

Ani ng Dangal or “Harvest of Honors” is a state recognition given by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts under the Office of the President of the Republic of the Philippines.

 

The Ani ng Dangal is given to natural-born Filipino artists and groups that have reaped top honors in international events. Its coverage includes the Seven (7) Art Disciplines:

-Architecture and Allied Arts

-Cinema

-Dance

-Dramatic Arts

-Literary Arts

-Music

-Visual Arts

-including Multi-Disciplinary Arts

 

On February 2, 2014, the NCCA will present The 6th Ani ng Dangal at the Newport Performing Arts Theater – Resorts World Manila featuring the ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Gerard Salonga together with some of the recipients such as Hail Mary the Queen Children’s Choir, Candice Adea (Soloist, Hong Kong Ballet), The Halili-Cruz School of Ballet, Bayanihan – The National Dance Company of the Philippines, Philippine All Stars, Jed Madela, Ely Buendia / PUPIL, and Sarah Geronimo.

The NCCA will be presenting the Sarimanok medal designed by National Artist for sculpture, Dr. Abdulmari Asia-Imao to fifty-nine (59) recipients this year.
