8 Useful Tips For Surviving Senior High

5. Surround yourself with good influences.

Why not hang out with people who endow you with positive influence? Think of the people who make you feel better. Who make you want to be better. Who are your lucky charms in life? Think about it.

Itโ€™s okay to have crushes or inspirations, too, but focus on your studies first! USA First Lady Michelle Obama put it perfectly: “There is no boy, at this age, cute enough or interesting enough to stop you from getting an education.”

4. Search for an appropriate school.

Where are you planning to study senior high school? Believe it or not, the school you graduated from has a massive impact on how quick you will be hired for a job! So if you want to study in that specific university for college, consider that option, especially when you will be given credits in the long run.

For instance, if you are interested in the medical field, UST or FEU are well known to be great in that area. If you are into business, it’s ADMU. For the engineering field, Mapรบa’s a good bet (these are all strictly my opinions, by the way).

Of course getting hired still depends on your potential at the end of the day, but your school will definitely still matter. So research!

3. Set your mind.

Once you have made your decision, donโ€™t stop until you get there. Climb that mountain. Eliminate distractions. Focus on what truly matters. There would be times when youโ€™d question your interests because of the influences of other people, but remember that you are living your life for yourself. Not them. Take people’s advice with a grain of salt, but at the end of it, do it for you.

Fight for what you know you love.

2. Reflect on the path you will take.

Ten years from now, will you be a responsible doctor? Will you be able to travel the world? Will you be a prominent author? Will you be a prosperous businessman? How many children would you have taught to by then? Will you raise our country from poverty like you’ve always dreamed?

Visualize your expectations for the future. Do you like what you are seeing?

1. Love your choices.

Never live life in fear of failure. This will only prevent you from achieving anything. You are human and you make mistakes. Accept that. It is when you are at your worst when you find out more about yourself and more about the world you live in. Regrets are nothing but wasted thoughts.

So yes. Enjoy what life has to offer. Live the life you love and love the life you live.
