7 True Facts Why Plants VS Zombies 2 is the Best Game in the World

5. The Mini-Games & Challenges

The mini-games and challenges are still there. Unfortunately, there’s no more Walnut bowling. Boo! The garden/aquariums don’t seem to be there either (although maybe once I’ve finished the game?), as well as Crazy Dave’s shop. But it’s alright, there are a lot of other additions to keep you entertained and coming back for more.

Perhaps my only other gripe with PvZ2, and it is a rather spurious one, is the Treasure Yeti. In the first PvZ, you very rarely see the Yeti Zombie. Now, the game keeps prompting you when the Treasure Yeti has been spotted, urging you to play the level he’s in and steal his lunchbox…of treasure.

6. Power-ups, specials, touch screen integration

One of the things I like the most about PvZ2 are the power-ups. The video above shows each plant’s special move, most of which are totally awesome. There is also an added touch screen special move where you can pinch, swipe, or electrocute the zombies using your finger/s. Clearly, Pop Cap’s game designers are ahead of the curve.

7. The Music

Another true gem in the game is the music. Aside from the sound effects, the background music adds a whole lot to the gaming experience. The tracks for the menu screen and each level are beautifully crafted, and similar to the Sims soundtrack and the voice of Nina Simone, you don’t mind hearing it again and again.

Once you’ve finished PVZ, all the plants and zombies come together in the cutest music video ever.

No words can express the levels to which I look forward to seeing the closing credits of PVZ2.
