Amid the news of the number coding scheme allegedly being implemented from 7 AM to 7 PM with no window hours in select roads and thoroughfares in preparation for the holiday rush, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) clarified on X (formerly Twitter) that it has yet to be advised regarding the change.
“Wala pa po tayong advise. Dating coding po muna ang ating susundin (We have not been advised yet. For now, we will follow the current coding scheme),” MMDA said in a reply to many netizens asking them about it on the website. “Same pa din po ang MMDA number coding (MMDA number coding is still the same) from 7AM to 10AM and 5PM to 8PM, Mondays to Fridays, except weekends and holidays.”
MMDA also reminded everyone that the window hours are still from 10:01AM to 4:59PM while Makati City’s number coding scheme is implemented from 7 AM to 7 PM straight without window hours.
Same pa din po ang MMDA number coding from 7AM to 10AM and 5PM to 8PM, Mondays to Fridays, except weekends and holidays. WINDOW HOURS – 10:01AM to 4:59PM **MAKATI CITY – 7AM to 7PM / NO WINDOW HOURS. #mmda
