12 Reasons Why Vancouver Should be on Your Rainy Season Destination List

10.) Exploring

The perfect weather makes exploring more conducive to adventure seekers. There’s a ton of places to explore outside of Vancouver accessible by ferries or sea planes or a nice hour-or-so drive from the city. The Okanagan valley has wineries, fruit orchards, and gorgeous lakes, for example; while Salt Spring Island has lavender fields and cheese farms. World-renowned Whistler also has zip-lining, bungee jumping, mountain bike trails, and gorgeous sceneries. So many places to explore!

11.) Cannabis Day

Every July 1st on Canada Day, a different kind of celebration happens just outside of the Vancouver Art Gallery called Cannabis Day. Vendors sell different kinds of strains of cannabis, hash, THC infused food and drinks, paraphernalia; and anything related to marijuana is celebrated on this day. You can also find cbd without thc for sale and you can also smoke a joint without being paranoid because even if marijuana is technically illegal in BC, the government is lenient about it and gives more freedom to stoners on this particular day. Don’t like weed? There are live music performers that are pretty fun to watch there, too.

12.) Free Activities

Free yoga, free dance classes, free outdoor movies, free shows, etc. etc. Vancouver obviously wants everyone to have fun and make the most out of the summer by providing a ton of things to do without having people shell out a single penny. This makes summer everyone’s favourite season.
