Typhoon Pedring Disaster Flood Photos from Manila: Nesat Hits the Philippines

By on September 27, 2011

When In Manila, please do be safe and avoid flood areas as Typhoon Pedring makes her way across Manila and the Philippines.

Typhoon Pedring, internationally known as Typhoon Nesat, has hit the capital of the Philippines with strong gusting winds and a fierce wall of water! They need your help! Please see the info below on how to donate to the Philippine Red Cross for Typhoon Pedring / International Call Sign: Typhoon Nesat

Pedring has crippled power lines causing power outages and blackouts throughout Metro Manila. Pedring has also trampled roofs, trees, lampposts and even billboards.

Pedring Typhoon Signal warnings have been issued throughout the Metro Manila areas and many other provinces in the Luzon and Philippine shores.

It is recommended that you stay away from flood prone areas and that you prepare spare supplies in case power shortages affect your area for a lengthened time.

There are many pictures online that our readers have sent to us and we wanted to share them back so you can see what it’s looking like out there, while safely tucked in your own homes.

From floods at the American Embassy, to the roof of the Mall of Asia crashing down, to billboards along EDSA crumbling to the ground, and even a massive flood devastating the Sofitel Hotel, here are some of the early photos we’ve seen of Typhoon Pedring.
