Paolo’s decision to transform into Angelina appeared to be a fitting choice as he played a transwoman in the film that was selected for the festival’s Main Competition.

Other films to be screened in the festival are I America by Ivan Andrew Payawal, Lav Diaz’s Hele Sa Hiwagang Hapis, Birdshot by Mikhael Red, and Shiniuma by Brilliante Mendoza.
