Applying makeup is one of my weaknesses. I didn’t experience sneaking up on my mom when she was putting on makeup nor did I ever see her wear any. She is, up to this date, much like me — a makeup noob.
Lately, I’ve been attending lots of events, though, and I realized how pale I look in the pictures. How I wish I could look like a celebrity and have a professional makeup artist work on me. Well, my wish was granted by Acie Fores!

Acie Fores believes in continuous learning even though she already has plenty of experience in the editorial, stage, avant-garde and wedding scene.
As far as training is concerned, her mentors are professional makeup artists like Erika Saenz, Georginna Desuasido, Yuki Geraldo, Mio Robo and Mikey Raymundo. She also went to the San Francisco Institute of Esthetics and Cosmetology for an advanced airbrush course, and took hair styling with Tony Dusich, and a high definition class with Jenn Delica.

Sidenote: Acie and I met with Martine de Luna at Honeycomb Manila Coworking, a coworking space located within the EDSA Beverage Design Studio and I must say that aside from good lighting for taking photos, the coffee smelled so delish, it made me want to drink some! I couldn’t, though. Hehe.
