At the Street Store, we can all help in our own way
Picture this: Denim-clad folks looking around and choosing their own clothes while assistants dig through overflowing boxes and disarranged shelves to find items that match their preferences. It’s the ultimate example of one person’s clutter being another person’s treasure. Going by that description, you might think that we were talking about thrift shopping.
Don’t be fooled though, because this will be the scene at Intramuros on September 30, 2017 for The Street Store but better. Made out of posters and stocked by donations, The Street Store enables the homeless to shop for things they need (and actually like!) with the same dignity and option as customers. The best part? It’s for free!
How you can participate:
#1 Contribute
Donate items you don’t wear anymore. Bring clothes, shoes, bags or anything! Donations will be accepted throughout the morning, but everyone is encouraged to bring it before the doors are opened to the shoppers – around 7 AM to 8 AM.
If you wanna donate but can’t make it on Sept 30, you can either drop it off at Makati or have it picked up. Fill out this form and we’ll get back to you with the details ASAP.
