It’s a somber evening at 9th Avenue Lane S of BGC. The crisp air is still and eerie… And there are zombies left and right, ready to begin their chase. Are you a fan of The Walking Dead? Well, then you will love what Fox Entertainment and Breakout Philippines has come up with for the upcoming Season 5 of The Walking Dead: an escape room game where you and your friends need to break out from Terminus Container 1!
That’s right. 9th Avenue Lane S has been turned into the Terminus – exactly how it looks like in The Walking Dead. If you are a true blue fan, you should remember that the last season ended with Rick and the gang trapped inside a container van at Terminus – and this is exactly what is in store for the guests of this Breakout Philippines Special.
In a nutshell, you will be trapped in a container van with up to 6 of your friends – along with a chained walker! – and you will have to solve puzzles, discover secrets and unlock your way to your freedom in under 15 minutes! If you don’t succeed, then even if you arrived… you won’t survive. This may sound simple, but the hair on your back will raise once that chained walker starts to approach you.
We were fortunate to experience and try to solve our way out of the van and the creepy zombie. We only had 15 minutes aside from the usual 45 found in Breakout Philippines’ rooms, so we felt more pressured than ever.
Our team started out feeling queasy and tense but excited at same time – kinda scared of the slowly advancing zombie. Minutes passed as we scrambled for more clues. A minute before time was up, I honestly felt helpless and hopeless. Ten seconds.. nine.. eight.. seven.. six.. five.. four.. three.. two.. one.. click! The lock opened – and we broke out!
We’d like to believe that it was a feat that we made it out at 14:59! Just when we thought there was no chance left, we can still brag that we’re one of the Breakout Legends!
