K-Drama fans around the world had their hearts aflutter after Descendants of the Sun co-stars Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo tied the knot in a romantic wedding ceremony!
As it turns out, the Song-Song nuptials are what is probably South Korea’s wedding of the year, after it was revealed that they had quite the star-studded guest list. The couple even had Chinese actress and international star Zhang Zhiyi as one of their guests!
Zhang Zhiyi has previously worked with Song Hye-kyo in movies such as “The Grandmaster” and “Love and Let Love”.
The Chinese star praised the Song-Song wedding for its simplicity and sincerity, saying:
“The Song Hye-gyo wedding I attended yesterday was simple. I see no fancy flowers, a wedding car filled with jewels, brand endorsements, or empty formalities. I only saw Song Joong-ki’s love towards Song Hye-gyo. As the weather was cold, he held her hands, fixed her hair, and choked up during his vows. Although he is younger than her, it’s obvious that he loves her so much. I think Hye-gyo really married for love.”
Zhang also had this to add:
“In fact, we are all simple in front of love.”
